How to change the workgroup of windows vista



Click on start, go to settings, control panel

In the top right hand corner type workgroup.
In system click on change workgroup name this will open another window called computer name.

Click on the button that says change, a new window will open

In this window you can change the name of the computer and the name the workgroup. The workgroup name that you choose should be the same on every computer on your network so if you have Windows XP computers they will probably be home network or workgroup once you have identified what is on your xp computers you can name your Vista computer network the same.
